LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT ON: THREE-STAR DIRECTORS PRESTON AND IMANI SCOTT

Preston-Imani-Scott-Leader-Spotlight.jpg

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights...
Preston was born and raised in Washington, DC. Imani was born in Washington, DC and raised in Clinton, MD. We currently live in Prince George’s County, MD. We have three children (two girls and a boy). Our hobbies include traveling, business, church, music, writing, and spending time with family and friends. We have been in the travel industry for over a decade. We have made really good money and have been able to travel the world in ways that we would never have been able to had it not been for the travel industry.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Since joining PlanNet, we have grown to become much stronger leaders. We have managed to have more success with PlanNet Marketing than we have ever had in business. Due to the professionalism and consistent business model that PlanNet has in place, we have been able to build the largest team that we have ever built in network marketing.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
Success drives us, and the pure joy and fulfillment of seeing others become successful as a result of connecting with our vision. Financial freedom motivates us. We are looking forward to being able to do what we want, when we want, and how we want for the rest of our lives.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
We consider our Pastors Mike and Dee Dee Freeman (Spirit of Faith Christian Center) our role models. They have exemplified consistent images of integrity, spiritual discipline, a great marriage, awesome parenting, business acumen, and financial success. We have been following them for over 20 years.

5. The three words that describe you best are:
Honest, Funny, Passionate

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
The easiest thing in the world to be is yourself. Don’t try to become someone else. It’s ok to emulate, but don’t duplicate. You can’t duplicate people, you can only duplicate systems. Be the best you that you can be.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years from now, we will be at least Five-Star Directors with PlanNet Marketing. We will be completely debt free and financially free. We will be traveling the world, speaking and teaching others how to do what we have been able to do. We will be having fun and helping people win, all while enjoying trips to the bank as million-dollar earners!

WELCOME TO THE 40/40 CLUB ANTHONY & TAMEKIA SMITH!

4040club_smith.jpg

Welcome to the 40/40 Club Anthony and Tamekia Smith!  The couple resides in Tucker, GA. They share, “We are married with a total of five amazing kids together, two girls and three boys, two of which are currently attending North Carolina Central University together, where one is a part of the football team.” Anthony is employed with the DeKalb County Board of Education and Tamekia works as a Specialist in Commercial Debt Recovery and Accounts Receivables Management, which has been her career for the past 17 years. They had a tax office for 13 years and also have a non-profit organization, Team 7 Sports Foundation, serving the metro-Atlanta area for the past 16 years with the youth boys and girls. Anthony is the Boys Head JV Basketball Coach and the Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator for Druid Hills High School, where he has served for the past 11 years.

They continue, “Our hobbies include traveling and spending time with family, as that is something we value a lot. The plan this year is to visit at least two countries. We love supporting our kids in their extracurricular activities, traveling to all of our son’s college games on Saturdays, and serving in our church and communities.

“When we started this business, it was only to utilize the travel side. We had no earthly idea that we would be network marketers, as that has always been a turnoff. Since being a part of this company, we have now changed the game! We LOVE this business. The networking, relationships, and the layers of leaderships that we have here are second to none.” Tamekia adds, “It just seems too good to be true at times, but I’ve definitely found something that I enjoy - helping people, and I’ve found a way to make my passion my paycheck. We do affirm and declare that 2018 will be the best year ever and we are super excited about where we are headed. It was a blessing in disguise to find this company. Donald Bradley’s leadership is outstanding and he’s a man of integrity and character. This company is definitely going to go far.”

What Tamekia loved most about what she saw when getting to know this company and the team behind Donald was not only the leadership, but the foundation it was built on. “Its principles are not about the money, but about saving others in the process. The race to 800 credit score was my all time favorite. I’ve never met a company or its principals talk about raising your credit score, making money, saving it and investing it. This concept opened our eyes immediately.”

Some fun facts about the Smiths are: “We are both athletic, we are both competitors, we love a good game of spades, and we love entertaining and hosting. Children are our weakness, as we have a soft spot for them. We’ve taken so many into our homes and raised them over the past 15 years as if they were our own.”

WELCOME TO THE 40/40 CLUB TAKASHA MAHONE!

4040club_Mahone.jpg

Welcome Takasha Mahone to the PlanNet Marketing 40/40 Club! Takasha says, “I can’t believe I’ve personally helped 40 families. When I started this business I had no idea the joy it would bring.  Forty families, financial freedom. memories; what a proud moment. I’ve earned income that has helped me pay several bills. The residual is just that -  residual. I love the tenth of the month lol. I can’t wait until my next promotion. Not to mention I had the opportunity to travel internationally for the very first time to Paris and Amsterdam. I love this business and it is surely the best place on the PLANNET!

MEET NEW 20/20 CLUB MEMBER CELENA WILLIAMS!

2020club2_williams.jpg

Celena Williams is one of the newest members of the 20/20 Club. She was born and raised and is from Milwaukee, WI. Her interests include “educating others and self, traveling, spending time with my husband and children, grandmother and father (we’re close!).”

Her travel experiences include over a half dozen cruises, travels to Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, almost every state in the US, and she is currently planning European travels very soon.

Celena tells us, “I achieve success in PlanNet Marketing because I allow myself to be COACHABLE. I keep my eyes and ears open, and I follow the leaders! I achieved success so quickly by always remembering this one thing - in order for me to be an effective teacher/leader, I must first be an awesome student! Keeping the passion for the business within me and keeping the passion alive is what keeps me going. I BELIEVE IN THE MISSION, I BELIEVE IN PLANNET MARKETING!”

COMPLIANCE CORNER

Amanda-headshot.jpg

There are SO MANY different social media sites these days – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, Google+, LinkedIn…the list goes on and on. As Reps I’m sure you’re maximizing your social media presence – befriending your teammates and other Reps, and probably telling the world about the best place on the PlanNet! But did you know there are “ok” ways to use Social Media and there are AMAZING ways to use it? When it comes to your business presence online you don’t want to fall short. Here are a few tips and hints to keep your online presence front and center to your audience and help you grow your business.

1) Be Yourself but Remember Your Audience. This is your social media account, and people want to know you as a person, but remember you’re trying to promote your business too. What do I mean? If you’re selling weight loss products, you probably don’t want to also post pictures of yourself devouring a huge slice of cake! It sounds funny, but it happens. If you’re trying to represent yourself as a business professional, don’t send game requests to your prospects (they don’t want to join you in playing Candy Crush and Farmville). Do share posts about your family and friends or fun, interesting things happening in your life. Don’t get rude, inappropriate or pushy with your opinions. Not everyone will share those opinions, and that’s ok, but you don’t want to alienate others with strong posts (too many of those posts and they’ll remove you from their feed).

2) Treat People Like People. Don’t do or say things online that you wouldn’t do in person. Just like you won’t walk into a party and start selling immediately, you also don’t do that on social media. You wouldn’t go to a friend’s party, stand in the corner not talking to anyone, then quickly approach a large group of people you don’t know and interrupt to ask, “Who wants to be a Travel Agent?” would you?! NO! Because everyone would think you’re nuts. You have to get to know the people online in the same way you do when interacting face-to-face. Message people, like, and comment on their posts, share about yourself, share something funny, engage others and make them feel valued. If they feel valued, they’re more likely to respond to all of your posts – including those about your business.

3) Don’t Sell on Social Media. Okay, first of all, it’s against company policy (for real). But it’s also not good for your business – here’s why. When you’re constantly posting links to your website/business, you kill curiosity and people become less excited to meet you/speak privately and learn about your business because they can Google and learn everything on their own. Instead, use your social media to create curiosity about your business and then when a prospect shows interest you can set aside a time to speak individually or meet to tell them more and sell them on the amazing ITA product we offer.

4) Budget Your Online Time. This tip takes a bit of finesse, but essentially you need balance in the amount of time you’re on social media. If you’re not online enough and don’t respond to prospects in an appropriate amount of time – you could lose their interest and a sale. On the flip side of the coin, if you’re online too much you could be wasting valuable time that could be used to do other business-related things (like conference calls, three-way calls, in-person meetings, etc). Plus, being too available/responding to every single request immediately prevents you from creating a sense of urgency in your prospect. If you or I called the President of the United States, he wouldn’t call back within seconds, or even minutes – he has important things to do. I’m not saying don’t be available, but do be careful not to jump on every message within seconds of receiving it. You’ll drive yourself crazy trying to respond to everyone and you’ll set a precedent that you won’t be able to sustain long-term. It’s okay to finish the email you’re currently typing before you respond to a message or call someone back. Don’t stop focusing on the meeting you’re in because someone asked you a question you can answer in an hour when you’re free. Find a balance that works for you.

If you want to be a success in your business - help others be successful too! Share this information with your team and they will surely appreciate it!
